
(Patria) - Today at 9:30 AM, an emergency session of the KS Assembly will be held on the topic of security in the Sarajevo Canton, following several events that have disturbed citizens of Sarajevo in recent months.
Information with relevant elements, indicators, and comments has been requested from several ministries in the Government of KS and judicial institutions, relating to the presence of drugs on the streets and in schools in the KS area, the presence of criminal offenses against general safety of people and property (theft, aggravated theft, robbery, etc.), the presence of specific forms of violent behavior (domestic violence, peer violence, etc.), the presence of juvenile delinquency, the presence of criminal offenses against public order and peace, safety of public traffic, against life and body, freedom and rights of citizens, the presence of criminal offenses against marriage and family, not excluding other challenges, risks, and dangers that could potentially complicate security conditions, as well as other forms of crime and criminal offenses affecting the safety of citizens.
A proposal for activities and measures to prevent or eliminate security threats or risks within the competence of these institutions has also been requested.
Requests have been sent to the Government of KS, the Ministry of Interior of KS, the Police Administration of the Ministry of Interior of KS, the Ministry of Science, Higher Education and Youth of KS, the Ministry of Education of KS, the Ministry of Transport of KS, the Ministry of Labor, Social Policy, Displaced Persons and Refugees of the Sarajevo Canton, the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of KS, the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo, the Municipal Court in Sarajevo, the Security Commission of the KS Assembly, the Independent Board of the KS Assembly, and the Public Complaints Committee of the KS Assembly.
At the session, the Minister of Interior of KS, Admir Katica, will address the assembly, and addresses from several other ministers and the Commissioner of the Police Administration of the Ministry of Interior of KS, Fatmir Hajdarević, are also expected.
Opposition representatives insisted on the session, and only after a reaction from representative Aljoša Čampari (NIP) did the Collegium of the KS Assembly decide to schedule the session.
