Emergency Session: Kurteš and Ćosić Informed the Government on the Security Situation in Sarajevo

At an emergency session of the Sarajevo Canton Government, the Police Commissioner of the MUP of KS Vahid Ćosić and the Minister of Internal Affairs of the MUP of KS Predrag Kurteš informed the Government about the criminal acts of robbery and murder that occurred today in the Sarajevo settlements of Hrasno and Ilidža.

The Government requested an emergency session of the Independent Board for the Election and Review of the Police Commissioner, which monitors operational work in the field, and expects information and analysis of the security situation, as well as the reasons and causes leading to it, reports the Patria News Agency.

The Sarajevo Canton Government is making every effort to create a safer environment by enabling financial prerequisites, hiring new police officers and inspectors, and allocating funds for police equipment. The MUP of KS will regularly inform the Government about all activities undertaken to prevent and solve criminal offenses in the Sarajevo Canton, it was announced from the KS Government.
