(Patria) - In order to resolve the long-standing problem of insured persons' rights regarding ampoule drugs, the Minister of Health of Sarajevo Canton Enis Hasanović urgently convened a meeting with representatives of key institutions of the healthcare system. The meeting was attended by the Director of the Health Insurance Institute Muamer Kosovac, the Director of the Health Center of Sarajevo Canton Abel Baltić, and members of the Commission for Medicines of Sarajevo Canton.
The long-standing stagnation of the ampoule drug list, which has not been changed in the last 20 years, has caused significant problems for patients with chronic diseases.
At the emergency meeting held, it was agreed that the Commission for Medicines of Sarajevo Canton will adopt a quick and efficient conclusion on amending the ampoule drug list, along with a revision of their prices. This conclusion will be forwarded to Minister of Health Hasanović, who will propose it for adoption at the next session of the Government of Sarajevo Canton.
It is expected that after the adoption of this conclusion by the Government and its entry into force through publication in the Official Gazette of Sarajevo Canton, the long-standing problem related to the ampoule drug lists will be permanently resolved.
Minister Hasanović emphasizes the importance of this initiative and highlights the commitment of the Government of Sarajevo Canton to ensuring access to adequate healthcare for all citizens. He also announced additional efforts to ensure the availability of necessary medicines for all patients.
