Historic project: Ilidža Municipality starts using data obtained from cadastre renewal

(Patria) - Following a series of activities on the implementation of one of the most important projects in the history of Ilidža Municipality, on July 27 this year, the cadastre renewal process for the Vlakovo cadastral municipality was fully completed, and as early as September 12, a new database for K.O. Vlakovo was put into use.

In this way, Ilidža Municipality is implementing a process by which, upon completion of the project, it aims to become one of the most organized municipalities in the FBiH in this area, which will be reflected in the fact that real estate data will be harmonized in the cadastre and land registry, and will simultaneously be digitized and easily accessible to everyone.

The demanding and lengthy data renewal process began at the initiative of the Mayor of Ilidža Municipality, Nermin Muzur, with the support of the Federal Administration for Geodetic and Property Affairs of the Federation of BiH for this important project.

Aerial surveying began at the end of 2021, shortly after the contract was signed between Ilidža Municipality and the Federal Administration for Geodetic and Property Affairs of the Federation of BiH.

Through an active media campaign, citizens were informed about the project and invited to cooperate, and education and free marking materials were extremely important elements in the entire process, in which the citizens of Ilidža also made a significant contribution so that the aerial surveying could begin.

After successful boundary marking, monitoring, and aerial surveying, the first in the Federation of BiH, followed by the decryption, classification, and public display of the obtained data, the cadastre renewal process was successfully completed. This was confirmed by inspectors from the FGU FBiH, thus fulfilling all legal conditions for the obtained data to be put into official use.

- Thanks to this data, which is already in official use, Ilidža Municipality will for the first time have an updated, complete, and unified real estate database, and in cooperation with the Land Registry Office, it will proceed with automatic data harmonization and establish a Real Estate Cadastre, for the first time in its history - explained Mayor Nermin Muzur the importance of implementing the cadastre renewal and putting it into official use.

While the data from the cadastre renewal for one part of Ilidža Municipality is already in official use, the historic project is in full swing.

Namely, four more cadastral municipalities, Osjek, Blažuj, Hrasnica, and Butmir, are in advanced stages of implementation.

"For K.O. Osjek and K.O. Blažuj, aerial surveying has been completed, and final preparations for the public display process are underway, while for Hrasnica and Butmir, aerial surveying is scheduled for October - emphasized Mayor Muzur, adding that after the project's completion in the aforementioned cadastral municipalities, Ilidža Municipality will continue the historic project in the remaining cadastral municipalities.

Funds for the project's implementation have been secured from the Municipality's Budget, while it is also co-financed in part by funds from the FGU FBiH.

The significance of such a project is also reflected in the fact that a large number of local communities in the Federation of BiH have expressed a desire to join and implement the cadastre renewal project, following the results achieved by our local community," said Jasmin Voloder, Assistant Mayor for Property-Legal Affairs, Geodetic Affairs, Real Estate Cadastre, and Property Management.

The Mayor of Ilidža Municipality, Nermin Muzur, thanked all participants in the project, which is of great importance for Ilidža and its residents.

"I feel that we are not even aware of the achievements we have realized in the past two years and the legacy we are leaving behind, but I am sure that without strong support, will, and understanding, we would not be witnessing all of this. Thanks also to our councilors for the adopted legal framework and unquestionable support for the project, and to all colleagues who have made an immeasurable contribution. I congratulate us on being the first in the Federation of BiH, in the post-war period, to overcome such a challenge and to be a clear example of how the impossible becomes possible, which other local communities should follow," said the Mayor of Ilidža, Nermin Muzur.

In addition to creating prerequisites for more adequate spatial planning, thanks to the cadastre renewal, better management of construction land, as well as other resources of our local community will be possible, and citizens will also benefit greatly.

Namely, through this project, the status of real estate, registration of possession, shape, area, and boundaries thereof will be resolved. By updating real estate records in the land registry, citizens will have access to the full guaranteed scope and content of ownership rights, which includes all the benefits that ownership guarantees offer.
