Written for NAP: Haris Silajdžić, representative of the Party for BiH in the FBiH Parliament
The current scandals of the 'Trojka' are often their greatest ally. It sounds paradoxical, but here is the proof.
When we talk about 70 million euros from the Growth Plan, which we missed due to the incompetence of the state-level government, when social networks and media are preoccupied with this topic, and when we think it is detrimental to the 'Trojka' (HDZ BiH and SNSD), it is actually an excellent diversion from the recent self-admission that Elektroprivreda BiH accumulated a loss of 331 million KM in one year.
Unfortunately, we are not aware of the amount of money lost due to the corrupt, imposed, and anti-people government in the Federation of BiH. If we were to sum up all the scandals, crimes, rigged tenders, ignorance, and corruption of the government in BiH over a longer period, we would not reach this figure.
And isn't it corruption to put incompetent people in charge of this resource? Moreover, the 'Trojka', so convinced that Facebook statuses can obscure these historic failures, doesn't even consider dismissing those responsible for this generational failure in the energy sector. Let's repeat: they lost 331 million KM in one year!
And where are we now? Now that number is already fading from our view because we have new blunders and stumbles by the 'Trojka'. Aren't their current scandals helping them to be forgotten? That is why I propose that there be a constant in the analytical milieu that reminds us of the betrayers' misdeeds.
It is nice that we marked the anniversary of the reconstruction of the Old Bridge, but that picture of Elmedin Konaković on this bridge should not erase from our memory the time when this employee of foreign embassies recommended Boško Ćavar, who later, in collusion with Irma Baralija, stole the mayoral seat from pro-Bosnian forces and brought in an HDZ cadre.
When we see Konaković on the Old Bridge, we cannot help but see how in Zagreb, seemingly decisive, confident, and strong, this servant of the HDZ cowardly avoided saying on HRT that Croatia committed aggression against BiH.
The destroyer of the Old Bridge has his mural in Neum. Representatives of the 'Trojka' came to celebrate the successes of others in building Mostar and reconstructing the bridge, but they lack the strength to write a single word to Dragan Čović about the mural of convicted war criminal Slobodan Praljak, which is located in the middle of our city on the Adriatic.
While Adnan Delić criticizes the opposition for not voting as he wishes, let's not forget that this scoundrel, while he was the Minister of Economy of Sarajevo Canton, and not to mention the excursions to Dubai, squandered an incredible 4.5 million KM on an amateur competition for foresters from Europe, which was held on Igman. What is the justification for this waste? Are we aware of this amount?
While we talk about the employment of one member of the People and Justice party, and the president of this party reacted pathetically and insincerely to this, we forget about hundreds of examples of party employment orchestrated by NiP and the 'Trojka'. Let's focus on the candidates of this party for mayoral positions, who lost those races during the 2020 elections. All of them received positions in government institutions, on the budget.
Adnan Delić did not succeed in Novi Grad, but he was inserted into a ministerial position in the Sarajevo Canton, and later in the FBiH Government. Enver Hadžiomerović did not manage to become the mayor of Breza, but he also soon became a minister in the Sarajevo Canton, and then the director of KJKP ViK Sarajevo.
The people of Vogošća did not want Dženan Brkanić as mayor, but the anti-people government appointed him as the director of the Cantonal Administration for Civil Protection. The candidate for mayor of Hadžići Municipality, Enes Kazić, lost the elections, but he got a director position in KJKP Park. Amar Dovadžija did not manage to become the mayor of Ilijaš, but the 'Trojka' also employed him; he was the director of the JU Studentski centar Sarajevo for a long time.
So, these are just some examples of how new events, even if they are detrimental to the 'Trojka', distract us from their past catastrophic actions. Therefore, we can rightly say that we now have a phenomenon on our political scene. The 'Trojka' survives on its new scandals. Because the spotlight of public attention, by its nature, can only cover one point, a narrow band on the timeline.
Journalists, analysts, and other chroniclers of our reality should be called upon to always find the correlation between the 'Trojka's' current actions and those from the past. Only then can we have a more complete picture that will shock and worry us. Only then will we see that the 'Trojka' is a historic misfortune that has befallen this nation.
