Thousands of visitors in humanitarian mission at the Diplomatic Winter Bazaar

(Patria) - The Diplomatic Winter Bazaar is being held at the "Mirza Delibašić" hall in Sarajevo, where visitors have the opportunity to explore world cultures and cuisines while simultaneously supporting an important humanitarian cause.

The message of this year's Diplomatic Bazaar is "Together we can do a lot." The mission is for the local international community to come together and raise funds for organizations that help children.

David Badower, President of the Organizing Committee of the Diplomatic Bazaar, emphasized that the bazaar is excellently organized and that they expect more than 10,000 visitors today in Skenderija.



"Today we have 43 embassies and organizations here, 17 local entrepreneurs, and five international schools. There are also about a thousand volunteers helping us. We have two goals: to bring together the local and international community and to raise funds for organizations across Bosnia and Herzegovina that care for the needs of children and youth," said Badower.

Brigadier General Matthew Valas, Commander of NATO Headquarters Sarajevo, pointed out that this is an exceptional event and that he is pleased that NATO Headquarters is actively participating for the first time.

"NATO in Bosnia and Herzegovina is primarily committed to the reform of defense and security institutions. The Diplomatic Bazaar is a wonderful opportunity for us to show that we help citizens in need. We are glad that our colleagues from the international community have warmly welcomed us and that we are here together," said Valas.

Qatar's Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Meshal bin Ali Al-Atiyah, emphasized that they are participating in the Diplomatic Bazaar again this year and that they are happy to collaborate with numerous embassies and organizations in the mission of supporting non-governmental organizations dedicated to the well-being of children in Bosnia and Herzegovina.



He added that the Qatari embassy's stand offers the richest content so far for visitors, who will, among other things, be able to taste specialties of traditional Qatari cuisine, Arabic coffee, and see souvenirs and toys that in their own way tell about Qatar's rich culture.

"The Embassy of the State of Qatar remains committed to charitable projects and support for initiatives aimed at helping the most vulnerable categories of the population. In this way, we want to once again confirm the strong friendship between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Qatar, which has been developing stable and fruitful bilateral relations for 32 years. This event should also show that together we are stronger," said the ambassador.
