Thousands of citizens gathered at Place de la République in Paris

Several thousand citizens gathered at Place de la République in Paris to protest today's terrorist attack on the editorial office of the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, where 10 journalists and two police officers were killed, writes the BiH news agency Patria.

The search for the attackers has been ongoing for hours, and the army and police are on the streets of Paris. All places with a large number of people are being secured, and the protest was scheduled for 6 PM.

In the massacre, editor Stéphane Charbonnier Charb (47) and cartoonist Jean Cabut Cabu (76), as well as cartoonists Georges Wolinski (80) and Bernard Verlhac Tignous (58), were killed. France Info TV reports that columnist Bernhard Maris (68) was also killed.

Those gathered at the Square are silently holding up their hands with pencils.
