AF BiH Helicopters Did Not Take Off, Fire Rages in Wider Kladanj Area

(Patria) - The fire is still active at the Mladoševići location, Borovica river basin, forest compartment 49 near the Milanković war path, in the municipality of Kladanj.

The terrain is inaccessible for machinery, which further complicates firefighting efforts, the Federal Civil Protection Administration announced.

In an extraordinary report from the Federal Civil Protection Administration (FUCZ), it is stated that the AFBiH helicopter, which was ready to extinguish this fire, could not take off due to objective reasons, so there has been no engagement of the AFBiH in firefighting so far.

Several other forest fires were extinguished in the Kladanj area today. The fire at the Matijevići location spread to the nearby forest leading to the river, so it is estimated that the river will stop its further spread. The fire at the Vučinići location was successfully brought under control and extinguished, as was the fire at the Kuljani location.

By order of the Director of the Cantonal Civil Protection Administration and the Head of the Cantonal Operational Center of Tuzla Canton, there is constant contact with the Head of the Civil Protection Service Kladanj, Senad Šarić (information is exchanged every hour), as well as with the Federal Operational Center, the FUCZ announced.
