Helicopter of the Armed Forces of BiH extinguishes fire near Maglaj

(Patria) - A helicopter of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina has been engaged since this morning, September 4, 2024, in extinguishing a fire near Maglaj, in accordance with procedures for assisting civilian institutions.

It is a forest fire, reportedly caused by the burning of low vegetation near a family house in the settlement of Crnojevići, in the local community of Radojčići.

The fire was localized by Maglaj firefighters and workers of the company "Šumarija" from Maglaj. As the terrain is inaccessible, assistance was requested from a helicopter of the Armed Forces of BiH.

The helicopter was dispatched to the fire site near Maglaj from the BiH Armed Forces barracks "Rajlovac".

This summer, helicopters of the BiH Armed Forces have been constantly engaged in extinguishing open-space fires across Bosnia and Herzegovina, in areas of both entities. In these firefighting flights, BiH Armed Forces helicopters have so far logged more than 90 flight hours.
