(Patria) - The fire is still raging in Sutjeska National Park, and a Serbian aircraft will assist in extinguishing it today. Helicopters have been in operation since early morning, extinguishing the fire.
Yesterday, the fire spread to a part of the Sutjeska River canyon, which contains centuries-old trees, some up to 300 years old.
Numerous firefighters, helicopters from the RS Helicopter Service, and the Armed Forces of BiH are participating in extinguishing the fire.
Following the decision of the BiH Council of Ministers to request international assistance in extinguishing the fire, it is expected that the fire will be brought under control today.
