The Mayor of Gračanica Municipality, Nusret Helić, is satisfied with the decision of the Government of the Federation of BiH, which approved a new amount of 163,866.08 KM for this municipality for the repair of damage caused by floods, reports the Patria News Agency.
- Justice has been served, and I am glad. On behalf of all citizens, I thank you - said Helić.
The initial amount of 35,716.08 KM allocated to the municipality of Gračanica had angered the mayor of this municipality at the time, and he refused to accept it.
- We provided realistic data on the damage caused by the floods. The initial reports, or rather the data, were lost between one Government and another.
The Municipality of Gračanica has formed a special commission for the distribution of funds, and according to the established criteria, the funds will be allocated for the reconstruction of residential buildings for the eight most endangered cases, i.e., families with the largest number of household members.
According to the final report, 297 houses were damaged and 70 were destroyed in the area of Gračanica Municipality.
