Helez visits "Zrak" Sarajevo and TRZ Hadžići: BiH's defence industry is a regional leader

(Patria) - Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Defence of BiH Zukan Helez, accompanied by associates, visited the "Zrak" Sarajevo defence industry factory and the Technical Overhaul Workshop "Hadžići" today, with the aim of familiarizing himself with the current situation in order to provide the necessary support for further work.

During the visit to the "Zrak" factory, Helez was hosted by the bankruptcy administrator Mesud Bogilović and his associates.

The host informed him about the current state of production, working conditions, and the challenges the company faces. He emphasized that the most needed at this moment is the modernization of production to be competitive, because "Zrak" has a future.

During the tour of the production facilities, Helez had the opportunity to talk with the workers whose primary activity is the development and production of devices in the field of precision mechanics, electromechanics, optics, optoelectronics, and electronics, and to learn about their needs.

- As the Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH, I will personally engage in saving the "Zrak" defence industry factory. We will find a way to ensure the necessary working conditions and increase the number of employees - emphasized Helez.

On the same day, Helez also visited TRZ Hadžići Sarajevo. The host of this visit was the company director Ismo Hebibović and his associates.

During the visit, a tour of the production facilities was carried out. Minister Helez also took the opportunity to talk with the factory workers, whose activities include the production of protective demining equipment, arms production, overhaul of armored vehicles, as well as arms overhaul.

In the conversation with the director and employees of RTZ Hadžići, it was stated that visible progress has been made in their work, and Minister Helez promised full support for the further continuation and improvement of the production capacities of this company.

- I am proud of what I saw today in both companies. The defence industry of Bosnia and Herzegovina is leading in the region, and it is a source of pride for all of us. For this reason, I will further engage in ensuring even better conditions for the development of the defence industry, both in these companies and in others in BiH - Helez stated.
