(Patria) - A meeting between Minister of Defense Zukan Helez and representatives of the Patriotic League of BiH was held today at the Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The minister hosted the president of the Patriotic League of BiH, Sulejman Vranja, member of the association's board Mustafa Ramić, and the president of the Association of Fighters "Patriotic League" of Sarajevo Canton, Enver Čičko.
- I thank my guests today for the plaque they presented to me for organizing resistance and defending our only homeland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as for the kind words and support they have given me.
It means a lot to me to know that my work and the activities I undertake in these turbulent times have the support not only of the leadership structure but also of all members of the Patriotic League.
The members of the Patriotic League of BiH deserve special recognition for the defense of our homeland at the beginning of the aggression against our country.
They were the foundation from which the territorial defense developed and ultimately the Army of the Republic of BiH. At the meeting, we discussed the challenges faced by members of the Patriotic League of BiH.
I will do everything within the capacity of the position I hold to help the work of this association, and to ensure that members of the Patriotic League of BiH are recognized and valued in accordance with their merits in the defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina - said Helez.
