Helez ruled: Council of Ministers adopted the Budget after 1.7 million KM was returned to the Ministry of Defence, and 500,000 KM to the Presidency of BiH

(Patria) - The Council of Ministers of BiH, meeting for the first time in Mostar, adopted the budget of the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina for 2024, but with minor corrections compared to the proposed Draft. The budget of BiH institutions was proposed in the amount of 1,355,400,000 KM.

1.7 million KM was returned to the Ministry of Defence of BiH from the previously removed 3.5 million KM, and 500,000 KM was returned to the Presidency of BiH from the previously removed 931,000 KM.

The only Bosniak whose vote led to the adoption of the Draft Budget is the Minister of Defence of BiH, Zukan Helez.

The Draft Budget is now being sent to the Presidency of BiH, which is the formal proposer of the Budget to the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH. For the budget to be adopted, it must be supported by both houses of the PA BiH.
