(Patria) - BiH Minister of Defense Zukan Helez has given full support to High Representative Christian Schmidt, who today imposed technical amendments to the BiH Election Law.
"I am sure that the technical amendments imposed by the High Representative, primarily the introduction of scanners, voter identification, and video surveillance, will make the election process in our country more transparent and democratic.
Finally, we will have election results that reflect the will of the citizens, not politicians.
I am especially pleased about the second part of the decision on amending the Election Law, which prohibits war criminals from running in elections.
On this occasion, I call on all domestic political actors to adopt amendments to the Election Law and the BiH Constitution in order to eliminate discrimination in our country and enable all citizens in BiH to have the right to vote and be elected.
In any case, sooner or later we will have to regulate this. Better sooner," Helez stated in a Facebook post.
