Helez files criminal charges against Dodik, Goganović, Damjanović: Those who attack the constitutional-legal order must be prosecuted

(Patria) - The Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Zukan Helez, today filed criminal charges with the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina against the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, his deputy Aleksandar Goganović, and OS BiH Colonel Milan Damjanović for attacking the constitutional-legal order of Bosnia and Herzegovina and marking the unconstitutional January 9th.

After leaving the BiH Prosecutor's Office, he told reporters that it was a serious report prepared by a law firm.

"First, this is a report related to the celebration of the unconstitutional Day of Republika Srpska, and it contains several criminal offenses, including an attack on the constitutional-legal order of BiH. The criminal report against Dodik was drafted very seriously, four lawyers worked on it, they prepared it thoroughly on 16 pages, it contains 34 attachments and two CDs, and it is a very serious report for the first time," says Helez.

He said he wanted to remain consistent with what he had announced, and therefore filed the report.

"My obligation is to protect the Constitution of BiH and the laws, and there are no national tensions. I would do the same for anyone who attacks the constitutional order of BiH, whether they are Bosniak or Croat. On this occasion, I call on them to give up 'foolishness', our path is towards the EU and NATO," says Minister Helez.

He believes that this criminal report is a prerequisite for further prosecution.

"Legal experts assured me that it is a serious criminal offense. I want to say that every citizen is obliged to report if someone attacks the constitutional-legal order of BiH," said Helez.
