Helez and Ambassadors Accredited in BiH Visit Bugojno, Kupres, and BNT - TMiH Company in Novi Travnik

(Patria) - Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Defence of BiH Zukan Helez, along with a group of ambassadors accredited in BiH, visited the municipalities of Bugojno and Kupres, and the company BNT-TMiH d.d. in Novi Travnik today.

As part of the visit, the delegation toured the production facilities of BNT-TMiH, where a working meeting was held with the director Besim Belegić and his associates, and the capabilities and capacities of this successful company were presented.

- My goal with today's visit to BNT was to enable the management of this company to present their products to the world through the ambassadors present today, to arrange cooperation, investment, and sales of their products.

I am sure that today's visit to BNT will bring new contracts, new markets for their products, all with the aim of economic development of Novi Travnik, this region, and the entire BiH - said Helez.

The ambassadors present at this event were particularly impressed by the wide range of high-quality products that BNT produces, including 60, 81, 82, and 120 mm mortars, 152 and 155 mm howitzers, 44mm M57 and M80 recoilless rifles, 82 mm M60 and M84 recoilless guns, 100 mm tank guns for T-55 and 125 mm for M-84, 105 mm and 122 mm howitzers, 130 mm cannons, and 23 mm aircraft cannons.

All attendees expressed great interest in further cooperation, especially in the export and commercialization of these products on the international market.

After visiting the BNT-TMiH company, the delegation met with the Mayor of Bugojno Municipality, Edin Mašić, with a special emphasis placed on the potential for economic cooperation and development projects that could be of interest to foreign investors.

Mayor Mašić presented the economic and tourism potentials of the municipality for investment and development to the ambassadors.

Bugojno, once among the more developed cities in former Yugoslavia, today faces significant challenges, primarily due to corruption and the incompetence of local and cantonal authorities, making it one of the less developed cities in the Central Bosnia Canton.

As part of the working visit, the delegation visited the municipality of Kupres, where Minister Helez and the ambassadors discussed natural resources, infrastructural challenges, and projects crucial for the development of this local community with Mayor Danko Jurić.

- We must take decisive steps to improve infrastructure, support economic development, and ensure opportunities, especially for young people, to stay in Bosnia and Herzegovina - said Helez.

This initiative by Minister Helez aims to showcase the economic, industrial, and natural resources of parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a focus on strengthening international cooperation and attracting foreign investment.

Tomorrow, a tour of Kupres' natural beauties is planned, including the geological phenomenon Japage, Stožer mountain, Kukavičko Lake, Ravno village, and the conclusion of the visit at the museum of the Franciscan Monastery Šćit, Prozor-Rama municipality.
