HDZ BiH seeks absolute control over executive power in the Federation of BiH

HDZ BiH will seek the application of the voting principle in the Government of the Federation of BiH that also applies in the Council of Ministers of BiH, where no decision can pass this executive body without the support of all three constituent peoples of BiH.

If such a proposal by HDZ is adopted, this party and its leader Dragan Čović will gain control of the executive power in this Bosnian-Herzegovinian entity, after already being able to block any law in the legislative power of the Federation through the House of Peoples in the FBiH Parliament, writes the BiH news agency Patria.

Večernji list reported that at the penultimate session of the Federal Government, Bosniak ministers used their right to outvote their Croatian colleagues on an issue related to the problems of former fighters. However, to ensure that no decision is made in the Government in the future without the votes of HDZ BiH, this party will seek changes to the voting principle.

HDZ BiH already manages the complete finances of Bosnia and Herzegovina; ministers from HDZ BiH head the state, federal, and the majority of cantonal ministries of finance, this party also manages the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH, and the chief auditor in BiH, Dragan Vrankić, is also from this party.

The director of the Agency for the Provision of Air Navigation Services of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BHANSA), Davorin Primorac, is Čović's son-in-law.

Personnel from this party also head other important institutions in BiH.

HDZ BiH can already block any law in the Federation through the House of Peoples in the FBiH Parliament. If the proposal is adopted that no decision can pass the FBiH Government without the votes of HDZ, this party and its leader Čović will become the absolute masters of life in the Federation of BiH, writes Patria
