(Patria) - HDZ BiH today submitted candidate lists to the Central Election Commission (CEC) of BiH in Sarajevo for the upcoming Local Elections in BiH, which will be held in October.
On behalf of HDZ BiH, the lists were submitted by Vice-President Darijana Filipović and Secretary General Goran Božić.
Filipović stated that HDZ BiH is applying with 31 candidates for mayor and city mayor positions, and for municipal and city council levels with 63 levels, with slightly more than 1,150 candidates in total.
- Regarding the lists, they are a reflection of politically recognizable names, mayors and city mayors who have continuity in their work in these positions, who have previously held these positions, but also a new energy, new people, not necessarily younger but also younger ones.
All of this creates a synergy of political maturity and new energy, so we will have something to offer voters for the Local Elections - said Filipović.
She also emphasized the continuation of activities in accordance with the Election Law and the defined election process, while also highlighting expectations for the future continuation of dialogue on amendments to the Election Law, to which, as she said, HDZ BiH will make its timely contribution.
