HDZ BiH did not secure another partner, SBB remains part of the government

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - A meeting was held today in Sarajevo between the President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Marinko Čavara, and a delegation from the Alliance for a Better Future, discussing the continued presence of SBB ministers in the FBiH Government.

SBB President Fahrudin Radončić announced at the end of last year to Dragan Čović, President of HDZ BiH, that he should seek a replacement for that party in the government, as the ministers from SBB would offer their resignations. Čović informed Radončić that they could not secure another partner to replace them.

Čavara stated that today he insisted and demanded that SBB remain part of the parliamentary majority and the executive government, "bearing in mind the interest of all those living in the FBiH and the economic processes that must be conducted in the turbulent period before the elections."

Adisa Omerbegović-Arapović, Vice President of SBB, who attended the meeting, said that "the constitutional order of the Federation indeed places great responsibility on SBB, and I believe we are truly hostages of such a situation, and that such a move would yield a very negative result in a situation where, unfortunately, very destructive words like war are often mentioned."

"We remain in the FBiH Government, and in every situation that arises, we will assess what is in the interest of the citizens of the Federation, and ultimately of BiH. After all, I believe we will make a decision that will bring more benefit and less harm," said Omerbegović-Arapović.
