HDZ BiH to Host Coalition Meeting on February 27, Dodik Announces 'Finalization of Some Details'

(Patria) - President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik announced a new meeting of the state coalition in Mostar next week, hosted by HDZ BiH.

"We will have a meeting on Tuesday afternoon to finalize some details," Dodik said at a press conference after returning from Belarus and Russia.

He added that there are contacts with people from the EU, in the context of a possible decision on opening EU accession negotiations with BiH. However, the laws requested from BiH have not yet been adopted.

Dodik said that the Appellate Division of the Court of BiH can only decide based on laws passed by the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH.

"We will decide where it will be in Republika Srpska, not them. So I don't know what will happen. We are pursuing a serious policy. If they don't want to accept it, let it stay as it is," Dodik said.

In recent days, he held meetings with the presidents of those two countries, Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin.

"This trip to Russia and the meeting with Putin has no other purpose but to strengthen our relations. We have said that we do not want to consider NATO membership, and that is not about Putin but about us. We do not see the benefits we could gain. It is not a story about Putin. We also encouraged President Putin for their companies to continue investing. The largest investor in the territory of BiH was the Russian Federation, and some want to hide that. We said we want gas for BiH under the same conditions," Dodik said.
