HDZ BiH welcomes adoption of the Reform Agenda and reiterates the necessity of amending the BiH Election Law

(Patria) - As part of the annual caucus of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) BiH in Neum, the 24th regular session of the party's Presidency was held today.

The central agenda item was information on the implementation of goals in the executive and legislative branches at all levels, with a special emphasis on the European path, the adoption of the Reform Agenda, and the overall political situation.

Special attention was also paid to the upcoming 30th anniversary of the Dayton-Paris Peace Agreement and the ongoing need to protect the constitutional order of BiH and the equality of the Croatian people as a constituent people.

The Presidency today particularly highlighted the importance of further intensifying integration processes, emphasizing that HDZ BiH officials continue to protect the stability of political dialogue and lead Bosnia and Herzegovina's EU path.

Accordingly, the adoption of the Reform Agenda, led by the Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BiH, Borjana Krišto, was welcomed, and a call was issued to all political stakeholders for constructive action in urgently fulfilling the remaining reform priorities and achieving new momentum on the European path.

In light of the anniversary of the Dayton Peace Agreement, whose 30 years of existence will be marked at the end of the year, the need to respect the constitutional order and the equality of the three constituent peoples was once again emphasized.

Considering the upcoming anniversary and bearing in mind the General Elections to be held in 2026, the Presidency highlighted the continuation of cooperation with domestic and international officials to ensure the necessary amendments to the BiH Election Law, in order to finally secure legitimate representation, respect for the Constitution, and long-term political stability in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Also, President Čović presented a report on the implementation of key activities at today's session, emphasizing that the actions of HDZ BiH are based on three pillars: preserving peace and stability, strengthening the European perspective, and consistently advocating for the equality of Croats in BiH.

The discussion assessed that these priorities are a guarantee of stability and sustainable development of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Presidency of HDZ BiH concluded the session by confirming its commitment to continued responsible and constructive political action, with the aim of protecting the rights and interests of the Croatian people, strengthening internal stability, and continuing Bosnia and Herzegovina's European path.
