Hague Prosecutor Serge Brammertz to Address Students in Sarajevo and Mostar

Chief Prosecutor of the Hague Tribunal Serge Brammertz is visiting Sarajevo and Mostar from 5 to 7 October, and today at 4:00 PM he will hold a lecture at the Faculty of Criminalistics, Criminology and Security Studies in Sarajevo, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

He will also deliver a lecture to students in Mostar, where he will speak about contemporary challenges of international criminal justice.

During his visit to Mostar, he will tour the Old Bridge and the Old Town, which are under UNESCO protection as part of the world heritage, and discuss the protection of cultural heritage with UNESCO representatives. He will also take the opportunity to meet with representatives of the Prosecutor's Office of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton and discuss the prosecution of war crimes and issues of mutual interest.

In Sarajevo, the prosecutor will meet with Valentin Inzko, the High Representative for BiH, Jonathan Moore, head of the OSCE mission in BiH, and Sezin Sinanoglu, UNDP Resident Representative.

Prosecutor Brammertz's visit to the region is part of regular preparations for submitting a report to the United Nations Security Council, expected in the coming months.
