Hashim Thaçi to visit Srebrenica

Kosovo's Minister of Foreign Affairs Hashim Thaçi announced today that he will visit Srebrenica on July 11 to pay tribute to the victims of the genocide, writes the Patria News Agency.

"I will express respect for the victims of the genocide by attending the commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the crime in Srebrenica. My visit will be the first, but important," Thaçi stated on Twitter in his first message.

In a second message, he added, "The genocide in Srebrenica and the genocide that followed in Kosovo by the Serbian government will be remembered as the darkest chapters in the modern history of Europe," Thaçi wrote on Twitter, ahead of his visit to the Memorial Center in Potočari on July 11.
