Hasečić: Stop the appointment of Stanić as Vice Governor of the CBBiH

The Association „Woman - victim of war“ and the Association of Victims and Witnesses of Genocide call on responsible government representatives to stop the appointment of Milenko Stanić as Vice Governor of the Central Bank of BiH, according to a statement from these two associations, reports the Patria news agency.

-The case of Milenko Stanić, the lord of life and death in Vlasenica, received category „A“ according to documents from the Hague Tribunal. The case was handed over to the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, and we contacted them with an inquiry about what is happening with this case, says Bakira Hasečić, president of the Association of Women Victims of War.

We recall that the "A" list is a list compiled by the Hague Tribunal based on conducted investigations, containing individuals for whom there is sufficient evidence to raise an indictment and arrest. 

Stanić claims he knows nothing about camps, mass murders, rapes, and expulsions of Bosniaks from Vlasenica. This „candidate“ for a position in the most important financial institution in BiH was also a defense witness for Ratko Mladić and Radovan Karadžić, who was charged, among other things, with genocide in the Vlasenica area at the Hague Tribunal.

-We expect relevant representatives of BiH authorities, as well as the Governing Board of the Central Bank of BiH, to reject this candidacy, and the Prosecutor's Office of BiH to act as soon as possible according to the instructions of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia and establish Stanić's responsibility as a member of the SDS crisis committee of Vlasenica municipality, for: mass murders, rapes, opening camps, destruction of religious buildings, and forced expulsions, emphasizes Hasečić, adding that it is a devastating fact that Milenko Stanić was a member of the Board of Directors of the Agency for Development of Higher Education and Quality Assurance of BiH!?
