Hasečić: From the square where Chetniks gathered in Višegrad yesterday, the bloodshed began in '92

President of the Association „Woman – victim of war“ Bakira Hasečić told the Patria news agency that she is outraged by the authorities in the Republic of Srpska because they allowed the Chetnik rally yesterday in Višegrad, and at the same place where many Bosniaks were executed in 1992.

More than a hundred members of the Ravna Gora Chetnik movement lined up yesterday in the center of Višegrad, that is, on the Square of Fallen Fighters, where they laid flowers and then marched towards the monument to Chetnik general Draža Mihajlović.

Hasečić condemned the gathering of Chetniks in Višegrad, because it is an organization known for mass crimes against Bosniaks and Croats. During World War II, they were responsible for thousands of killed people, and they did so in the most brutal manner: by slaughter, burning and other monstrous methods.

The Chetniks are also responsible for crimes against Bosniaks and Croats during the last Serbian aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina.

During World War II, they also turned against the partisans.

- Yesterday everything reminded me of '92. And in that '92, just like yesterday, the Chetniks came to Višegrad, to the same square where they laid flowers yesterday, and then began killing Bosniaks. Some they brought to the square and killed them in front of their families. Some they put on buses and killed them elsewhere – recounted Hasečić, adding that many Serbs in Višegrad were also frightened by the Chetniks yesterday.
