Haris Silajdžić at the World Peace Summit in Seoul

The World Peace Summit, organized by the World Alliance of Religions for Peace, begins today in Seoul, with over 100,000 guests and more than 1,000 journalists covering the event.

From the former Yugoslavia, Dr. Haris Silajdžić, former member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Stjepan Mesić, former president of the Republic of Croatia, and Zoran Živković, former Prime Minister of Serbia, have been invited to the Summit.

The Summit program includes Dr. Haris Silajdžić participating as a VIP speaker, alongside Moritz Leuenberger, former president of Switzerland, Emil Constantinescu, former president of Romania, Marisol Espinoza Cruz, vice president of Peru, Queen Best Kemigise of Uganda, former presidents of Costa Rica, Guatemala, El Salvador... Archbishop Antonio Ledesma.

The World Conference of Religions for Peace always seeks new forms of rapprochement, dialogue, solidarity, and coexistence, and creating lasting and positive changes in the world by uniting diverse communities worldwide is a necessary task.

Speakers and delegates of this unique peace plan for humanity include leading politicians, chief diplomats, and top government officials from all parts of the world.

Speakers will address the challenges, responsibilities, and opportunities of world leaders in building world peace, fostering reconciliation, applying cultural diplomacy in interreligious dialogue, exploring possibilities for conflict resolution through compromise, and the role of the personal and collective as sources of strength, identity, and unity.

This, the most representative and largest World Peace Summit to date, will be opened by Mr. Man Hee Lee, a renowned peace advocate and chairman of the peace organizations HWPL (Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light). In his speeches, Man Hee Lee often emphasizes that the issue of planetary responsibility requires a global ethic on which all global actors should agree. According to him, we are all responsible for creating a better world, and the idea of peace must be advocated every day, and for such a cause, one does not need to be a religious or political leader; being human is enough.
