Hamza Alić and Mesud Pezer fail to secure spot in the final

Bosnian shot putters Hamza Alić and Mesud Pezer competed in the shot put qualifications. A throw of over 20.75 metres was needed for direct qualification to the final, reports the Patria agency.

Our throwers committed a foul in their first attempt. In the second series, Alić threw the shot an insufficient 18.95 metres for the final, while Pezer threw 19.51 metres.

In the third series, Hamza Alić committed another foul, while Mesud Pezer threw the shot 19.88 metres.

Unfortunately, Alić and Pezer failed to qualify for the final, with Alić finishing in last place and Pezer in 21st.

The best result in the qualifications was achieved by Tomash Walsh, who threw the shot 22.14 metres, his best result this season.
