Hamdija Fejzić leaves SDA: Party leadership disrespected both me and other members

SREBRENICA, (Patria) - Hamdija Fejzić, a councillor in the Srebrenica Municipal Assembly, has left the Party of Democratic Action, and consequently the SDA Club in the Srebrenica Municipal Assembly.

- Due to all the events in the past period, the unfair treatment by the party leadership, the lack of respect and belittling of both me and other members, I believe it is best to leave the party. We all bear our share of responsibility. The people of Srebrenica have no trust in the work of the Srebrenica municipal board of the SDA, nor are they satisfied with the work of Bosniak representatives in the government. I do not want to be part of such a team that pursues a wrong policy and has put Bosniaks in Srebrenica in an unenviable position - Fejzić stated in a press release.

He emphasised that the agreed principles were never respected, interpersonal relations have been damaged, and the greatest achievement of the current Bosniak representatives in the government is that they have been outvoted multiple times at Assembly sessions.

- They even supported the decision to change the coat of arms of the Srebrenica municipality, all under the slogan of equal rights and equality of Cyrillic and Latin scripts. Such decisions were voted for by councillors whose children do not have the right to study their own language in schools. In the coming period, I will act independently in the Srebrenica Municipal Assembly. I will support all good, concrete and useful proposals, regardless of which individual or party they come from - Fejzić concluded.
