Halim endured 40 bee stings: They can't do anything to me, I am resistant

Fifty-nine-year-old Halim Hurem from Smajlovići near Fojnica has been beekeeping for 20 years. He has 70 beehives. He learned the beekeeping trade at beekeeping courses. He is a member of the Beekeepers' Association in Fojnica, writes the Patria news agency.

- The honey yield was never worse than last year. Then I took only 280 kilograms from 70 hives, while the year before last it was close to 1,000 kilograms of honey. The pasture was poor.

There was too much moisture and too few sunny days. Still, I am satisfied. Although some sell a kilogram of honey for 25 KM, I sell it at a price of 15 to 20 KM. I will be engaged in beekeeping as long as I live, because only love is sweeter than honey - says Halim.

He adds that he is resistant to stings and that once he was stung by as many as 40 bees, but nothing happened to him.
