(Patria) - The Government of Tuzla Canton (TK) today presented the results of its work in 2025 at an annual press conference, marked by a strong investment cycle, reforms in key sectors, and visible effects on the ground.
All ministers in the TK Government attended the conference, and Prime Minister Irfan Halilagić emphasized that the Government worked systematically and responsibly throughout the year, adopting almost 1,800 decisions and measures at more than 80 sessions.
- We launched investments worth nearly KM 50 million and simultaneously laid the foundation for a new investment cycle of equal scope. These are not numbers for statistics, but concrete changes in people's daily lives - Halilagić stated.
During 2025, the TK Government directed almost KM 100 million towards investments and support programs.
Significant investments were made in road infrastructure, energy efficiency, healthcare, education, security, and agriculture, while over KM 35 million was disbursed through direct incentives to citizens, covering approximately 100,000 beneficiaries.
A special focus was placed on energy efficiency, with one of the largest projects in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina covering about 170 public buildings.
Substantial funds were invested in the healthcare system, including investments in the UKC Tuzla, hiring new doctors, and improving access to healthcare.
In the field of agriculture, record cantonal allocations were achieved, making Tuzla Canton a leader in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in terms of incentive amounts.
The strengthening of Tuzla Canton's transport and logistics position was particularly highlighted, including the return of the air base to Tuzla Airport, initiatives to unblock strategic road projects, and the initiation of discussions on the development of a cargo center and free zone, thereby opening new development perspectives for the entire region.
Speaking about balanced development, Prime Minister Halilagić stressed that no municipality or citizen was left behind, with parallel strengthening of social measures and support for the most vulnerable population categories.
Concluding the conference, Halilagić stated that Tuzla Canton is more stable and developmentally stronger today than a year ago, and that the Government remains committed to the same direction in the period ahead.
- 2025 was a year of work and results, and 2026 should be a year of further implementation, new projects, and even more visible effects for the citizens of Tuzla Canton - Halilagić concluded.
