A group of hackers from Bosnia and Herzegovina, who announced a fight against portals and websites supporting the regime of Republika Srpska President and SNSD President Milorad Dodik, last night, after midnight, took down the website of the Republika Srpska Prosecutor's Office, as they announced on Friday, reports the BiH news agency Patria (NAP).
An unnamed hacker, who signs as BosniaRoot, said that the interruption of the RS judiciary website was carried out intentionally after midnight and lasted only half an hour.
- We did not want to deprive the citizens of RS of some data they might need from this website. The interruption was symbolic. But we showed Milorad Dodik's regime that it is not untouchable – this hacker wrote in a message sent to the editorial office of the Patria agency, which announced this virtual war yesterday.
A group of hackers from BiH announced that yesterday their fight against all portals and websites supporting Milorad Dodik's regime began, all because the police of the MUP of RS raided the editorial office of the Klix portal in Sarajevo a few days ago, after this portal published a video of the RS Prime Minister Željka Cvijanović talking about vote buying in the National Assembly of RS during the formation of government in this BiH entity.
Many organizations in the country and the world have assessed Milorad Dodik's regime's move as a first-class scandal and suppression of media freedom, which happened for the first time in modern Bosnian history.
- This is just the beginning. If the regime continues to pressure the media, we will continue too – said BosniaRoot, reports NAP.
