Hackers Declare War: From Tonight, We Will Take Down All Portals Supporting Milorad Dodik's Regime

A group of hackers from Bosnia and Herzegovina has announced that starting Friday evening, they will attack all internet sites connected to the President of Republika Srpska and SNSD President Milorad Dodik, and the Prime Minister of this BiH entity, Željka Cvijanović, due to the pressure they exerted on the BiH portal Klix earlier this week, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

The first target on Friday evening will be the website of the Government of Republika Srpska.

One of the hackers, who goes by the name BosnianRoot, told Patria (NAP) that they want to teach Dodik, and all assistants of his regime, a lesson, which will teach them never to suppress media freedom again, because they will never be powerful enough to do so completely.

Since the General Elections in BiH on October 12, 2014, the entity of Republika Srpska has been shaken by a political scandal, in which Prime Minister Cvijanović is directly involved. Media outlets published a recording in which the Prime Minister's voice can be heard talking to a party colleague, with whom she is also related, about buying two deputies in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, so that the coalition gathered around SNSD could form a government in RS.

The recording of the Prime Minister's conversation was first published by the Klix portal, after which they came under attack from the RS police, which has been completely controlled by Milorad Dodik's regime for several years.

Police officers from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of RS and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton raided the Klix editorial office in Sarajevo on Monday, demanding that journalists reveal where they got the recording that compromises the Prime Minister.

The majority of domestic and international organizations have assessed the Dodik regime's pressure on the media as a first-class scandal, unprecedented in the recent history of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Experts warned that instead of the police and prosecutor's offices dealing with the scandal involving the first woman of RS, the authorities are dealing with the media that exposed the truth.

- Dodik must understand that he will never be able to suppress justice and truth – said this hacker.

- Even if he managed to bring all the media under his control, there will always be a group of people who will transmit the truth to people, even if it is through hacker attacks.

BosnianRoot says he is aware that the way he will deal with Dodik is not in accordance with the law. However, he adds, a regime that suppresses media freedom deserves nothing less than a defiant response, writes Patria.
