Hahn with Presidency Members: BiH Has a Secure EU Perspective

Chairman of the Presidency of BiH Mladen Ivanić and members of the Presidency of BiH Dragan Čović and Bakir Izetbegović received the European Union Commissioner for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

The members of the Presidency of BiH expressed satisfaction with Commissioner Hahn's visit and the handing over of the European Commission Questionnaire, emphasizing that BiH is ready for this new major step on the path to the EU.

They also informed Commissioner Hahn about the readiness of BiH institutions, at all levels, to respond to tasks related to completing the Questionnaire. They believe that in this way Bosnia and Herzegovina confirms its credibility and reliability, as well as its determination and commitment to the European path. They reiterated that the goal of Bosnia and Herzegovina is to obtain candidate country status by the end of 2017.

The members of the Presidency of BiH expressed gratitude to the institutions of the European Union, especially the European Commission, for the support they have provided to Bosnia and Herzegovina on its European path so far, expressing expectations that this support will continue in the future.

Commissioner Hahn said that BiH has made visible progress and should use this positive momentum. He expressed hope that today's handing over of the Questionnaire will launch activities that will convince everyone that BiH has a secure EU perspective.
