High Representative Valentin Inzko met today in Brussels with the European Commissioner for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, Johannes Hahn. During the meeting, they discussed the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, reports the BiH news agency Patria.
- Regarding the political situation in BiH and its perspective, there are two clearly visible but mutually opposing trends running on two parallel tracks. One trend is positive and moves towards EU membership, while within the negative trend, politicians continue with activities that lead to divisions and regression.
- Political leaders should not focus solely on scoring political points, but on the needs of citizens and the country as a whole - added the High Representative.
During his visit to Brussels, the High Representative will also meet with the European Parliament's rapporteur for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cristian Dan Preda, as well as with several officials of the Political and Security Committee (PSC) and the EU External Action Service (EEAS).
