Hadžiomerović nominated for BiH Presidency, Lagumdžija refused pressure to run himself

The candidate of the Social Democratic Party for a member of the BiH Presidency is Bakir Hadžiomerović, a journalist and editor at FTV, editor of the show "60 minuta" which is no longer broadcast, reports the BH News Agency Patria.

Hadžiomerović received nine votes from the SDP Presidency members, while his opponent Mehmed Bradarić received four votes.

Earlier, during a multi-hour discussion, Besima Borić, proposed by president Zlatko Lagumdžija, withdrew.

This sudden decision by the SDP Presidency was preceded by a stormy and fierce discussion in which a part of the Presidency members exerted pressure on Lagumdžija to be the candidate. However, the SDP leader persistently refused, and proposed Besima Borić, who first agreed, and then, embittered by the discussion of certain Presidency members, withdrew.

Finally, two candidates were put to a vote. Hadžiomerović and Bradarić.

Thus, Hadžiomerović joined the long list for the Bosniak member of the BiH Presidency, which includes Bakir Izetbegović, Mustafa Cerić, Mirsad Kebo, Sefer Halilović...

Although Hadžiomerović was a long-time editor at FTV, he has not had any engagement at this television for a long time. It is known that Hadžiomerović has been close to Lagumdžija for a long time, and was even mentioned as a possible ambassador to one of the countries.
