Hadžikadić: New indictment is an alarm bell, 'subservient' policy is coming to collect

(Patria) - An indictment has been filed against 13 people for crimes committed in the village of Jošanica near Foča, at a time when we are witnessing the denial of genocide and the sovereignty of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina more than ever, the shameful commemoration of Operation Storm in Prijedor, constant attacks on the constitutional order, and the conscious relativization and downplaying of crimes committed by the Serb side, is at the very least an alarm bell regarding the future of this country, believes Mirsad Hadžikadić, president of the Platform for Progress.

"I absolutely support the prosecution of anyone who committed war crimes, but in this case, given the previous proceedings in this matter, held before international courts, the objectivity of the BiH Prosecutor's Office is truly questionable. The indictment even mentions the word 'genocide' against the Serb population, which, regardless of the attempts by the Serb political leadership, has never been proven before international courts. This is proof of the intention to rewrite history and relativize the crimes committed on the soil of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in such a way that conflicts in the past in these regions, as well as in world diplomatic circles, are declared civil wars, and that Serb policy is completely absolved of responsibility for the aggression it has been proven to have committed against Bosnia and Herzegovina.

And not only is Serbia absolved of responsibility for the aggression, but the international community is also justifying itself for choosing Serbia as its main partner in the region, which to this day has never apologized or admitted guilt," states Hadžikadić.

The beginning of the solution and the restoration of dignity to the state is as follows:

"I appeal to citizens to choose sincere, honest, capable, and educated individuals in the future;

I appeal to the international community to cease cooperation with fascist, chauvinistic, and nationalist ideologies because this gives the impression that it is okay with uncivilized values against which it supposedly fights;

We need honest electronic elections that will reflect the true will of the citizens. This case from Goražde is just another proof that a lie that is constantly, deliberately, and persistently repeated can begin to be perceived as truth. The thirty-year-old 'pro-Bosnian' subservient policy, which acted without principles, plan, knowledge, and courage, is to blame for this. It is to blame for Bosnia and Herzegovina and its citizens being increasingly humiliated and helpless.

A policy of compromise in a poisoned society where justice has not been served and with partners who have not undergone any catharsis for the crimes committed by the side they represent cannot yield the desired results. It is not strength and courage, but weakness and the risk of losing the state. Let's wake up! Only with knowledge, courage, and values can we fight against convicted criminal ideologies. Whatever the future holds, it is up to us," Hadžikadić concludes.
