Hadžijahić refused to testify in the Radončić and others case, Džuvo and Čibukčić did not appear

At the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina today, the hearing continued in the case against Fahrudin Radončić and others, reports the Patria news agency.

The indictment charges Radončić, as well as Bakir Dautbašić, Bilsena Šahman, and Zijad Hadžijahić, with committing criminal offenses as an organized group, obstruction of justice, and giving or receiving rewards for influence peddling.

Two witnesses were supposed to testify before the Court today: Nermana Hadžijahić, wife of Zijad Hadžijahić, and Admir Suljagić, director of the Secretariat of the HJPC BiH. The BiH Prosecutor's Office withdrew the witness Suljagić, and in the meantime, a summons was sent to Almir Džuvo and Fuad Čibukčić, but the BiH Court, due to the short period of time, did not receive confirmation whether Džuvo and Čibukčić had been duly served. The two of them did not appear at the BiH Court today, and a new hearing has been scheduled for October 5, when they are expected to testify.

As for Nermana Hadžijahić, she came to the courtroom but exercised her legal right and refused to testify, which she is entitled to as a relative of the accused.

Furthermore, in relation to the other accused Radončić, Dautbašić, and Šahman, Hadžijahić refused to testify because the events she would talk about are related to her husband Zijad.

We remind you that Hadžijahić was appointed as our country's ambassador to Slovenia, and the indictment states that her husband, Zijad Hadžijahić, who was employed at the American Embassy in Sarajevo at the time, secured this position for her.

In return, he was supposed to use his connections within the American Embassy in our country to stop the investigation against Fahrudin Radončić, president of SBB, at the BiH Prosecutor's Office. Hadžijahić was dismissed from the American Embassy.

Asim Crnalić, Radončić's lawyer, stated that they were neither for nor against Nermana's testimony.

- Regarding Džuvo and Čibukčić, you heard yourselves that the BiH Court did not have enough time to serve the summons - stated Crnalić.
