Hadžihafizbegović: I will sue everyone for the lies told about me

SARAJevo, (Patria) - Director of the Chamber Theatre 55, Emir Hadžihafizbegović, issued a press release after the publication of a recording mentioning his name and after withdrawing his candidacy for the Minister of Culture and Sports of KS.

"After two weeks of media tyranny and slander that I, as a human being and artist, have endured without provocation, all related to the case of secret wiretapping of certain individuals, I address the public with this statement.

1. My private, family, professional, and, if you will, political life in these fifty-eight years of life has been a "WHITE CANVAS WITHOUT A STAIN" and I have never been part of any scandal. I repeat, never.
2. In the context of secret wiretapping of certain individuals, I neither "ate an onion nor smelled an onion." Just as I am writing this statement today, and at the time of secret wiretapping of certain individuals, I held the position of director of the Chamber Theatre 55. Why someone needed to tarnish my name with the statement of another, or a third person, that someone will explain in court.
3. The media harassment against me has caused damage to my status as an artist, both in Bosnia and Herzegovina and in the region. I will sue all those responsible for the lies told about me through the court, and there I will seek satisfaction for the pain and injustice inflicted upon me.
4. I publicly thank Mr. Fahrudin Radončić and Ms. Melika Mahmutbegović, who, as individuals and responsible people in their parties, were the only ones who resolutely stood by my side. In fact, they stood by the truth.
5. And, finally, my "impression of the week," as a political show in the neighborhood is also called, is that all this that has happened to me is a well-prepared and thought-out project, which, as I said at the beginning, aimed to degrade me and my world-renowned artistic career, as well as to degrade me, both in the social and political context. The services have always known how to do that well.

6. For the actors, or rather the hyenas, of this attack on me, I have only one message. You have hit a hard nut to crack, and when you want to break it again, it will be difficult. BETWEEN ME AND YOU THERE IS ONLY ONE DIFFERENCE, I LOVE BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA WITHIN ME, YOU, UNFORTUNATELY, LOVE YOURSELVES IN BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA.

And, one more thing! While you, "big brothers," are wiring some new "DELEGATE," wrapping wires and microphones in his pants and around his butt, the Chamber Theatre 55 is returning from a mini-tour from Podgorica and Belgrade, where theater lovers, admirers of Abdulah Sidran and director Kokan Mladenović, admirers of the now cult play "Do You Remember Dolly Bell," gave us a standing ovation, with tears in their eyes and thunderous applause, for this theatrical masterpiece. Emir Hadžihafizbegović has received seven grand prix awards for best actor for the role of Mahmut Zolj in the play "Do You Remember Dolly Bell" at seven festivals in the region of Bosnia and Herzegovina – Croatia – Serbia. At these seven festivals, the play received no less than forty awards.

Thus, the Chamber Theatre 55 and Emir Hadžihafizbegović are spreading the glory of BiH artists and promoting the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, while you, gentlemen, continue to wallow in the septic tank of your stinking wires, microphones, mobile phones, and wiretapped conversations. Wallow, gentlemen, further in the septic tank of your unfulfilled political careers. Stay far away from me.
