Hadžihafizbegović: I only remember a tunnel and darkness

"Unfortunately, I have no image in front of me, except for a tunnel, darkness," said Emir Hadžihafizbegović, who ended up in surgery after a traffic accident in which he killed 63-year-old Ankica Kuduz on Sunday on the A3 motorway, Croatian media report, as stated by the BH News Agency Patria.  
 
Hadžihafizbegović is staying at the Slavonski Brod General Hospital. He was initially admitted to the hospital in Nova Gradiška, where his arm was operated on, after which, at the initiative of the head of the surgical department of the Brod General Hospital, Dr. Ferid Latić, and the acting director, Tihomir Biščević, he was transferred yesterday at 3 PM for further treatment in Slavonski Brod.
 
"First of all, I apologize for my unclear speech. They told me it was due to post-operative shock. Before I say anything else, I want to express my condolences to the family of Mrs. Anica Kuduz. The main thought going through my head is that this is something that has deeply shaken me, but unfortunately, I have no image in front of me, except for a tunnel, darkness. Nothing. However, my condition does not diminish the pain of the family that has lost a member. After expressing my condolences, I want to thank everyone who has contacted my family, and me since I was able to hear them, and I especially want to thank all the doctors and medical staff, both in Nova Gradiška and here in Slavonski Brod, for their professionalism and maximum human care they have shown towards me. I want to add that the general feeling that prevails in my psyche is: first, an endless need to meet with the Kuduz family, and second, to fully clarify the circumstances under which the accident occurred," said Hadžihafizbegović in a quiet voice, punctuated by pauses.
 
We remind you that a traffic accident occurred on Sunday around 8 PM in which Ankica Kuduz, a Zagreb resident and mother of model Lana Kuduz, died. The 63-year-old died after being hit by a car driven by Hadžihafizbegović.
