Emir Hadžić, former player of Željezničar and Sarajevo, has been successfully playing for the Israeli Hapoel AKKO from Akko for the second season. Before tonight's match, he visited the national team base in Haifa and met with his friends, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.
- After winning 6 points and our slip-ups, the Israelis are very optimistic and hope for a victory. Our attackers Edin Džeko and Vedad Ibišević's injuries particularly play into their hands, however, I am still convinced that we are a better national team than the hosts, and if we play at our level, the victory will not be in question - said Hadžić, a former youth representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in a telephone conversation with Patria.
Incidentally, Emir Hadžić could stay in Israel for another season. On this occasion, he greeted all the fans of Sarajevo and Željezničar as well as the national team, and tonight he will be at the Haifa stadium as the 12th player of our national team.
