Traffic jams at the border: Prepare for two-hour waits towards the south

According to information gathered from the BiH Border Police, traffic volume has increased at border crossings in the south of our country. At the Doljani border crossing, there are 2-hour waits to exit our country, and at the Ivanica, Gabela, Prisika, and Kamensko border crossings, waits range from 40 minutes to 1 hour, reports the Patria News Agency.

At other border crossings, waits are up to 30 minutes. We remind drivers that the Gabela Polje border crossing is temporarily open as an international border crossing (until 01.10.). Due to road works in Croatia, a ban on traffic for heavy goods vehicles is in effect at the Brčko-Gunja border crossing.

 

On the Velika Kladuša-Bihać main road (in Donji Purići), traffic will be halted for half an hour between 08:00 and 16:00 due to mine clearance operations, with traffic allowed to pass for 15 minutes at a time.

Traffic is slow on sections where renovation works are underway, and temporary traffic signals have been installed, which must be obeyed. We highlight the following routes: Doboj-Gračanica, Tuzla-Bijeljina, Jajce-Banja Luka, Sarajevo-Kiseljak, Brod na Drini-GP Hum, Bosanski Brod-Odžak, and Čapljina-Stolac.

Traffic on the A-1 highway Zenica-Tarčin and Zvirovići-Bijača is proceeding on dry roads, with no traffic stops or bans.

We urge drivers to check all necessary documentation before setting off on their journey, as well as the validity of all documents required for crossing the border, BIHAMK announced.
