The Republic of Austria is interested in further investments in the banking sector, the healthy food sector, the energy sector, and tourism, where BiH has significant potential, stated the Austrian Ambassador to BiH Martin Pammer during today's visit to the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBiH), where he spoke with the Governor of CBBiH Kemal Kozarić, reported the Patria News Agency.
Austria is one of the largest investors in BiH, with total investments amounting to 2.6 billion KM, mostly in financial services.
During the conversation between the Governor of CBBiH and the Austrian Ambassador, the need to improve the country's image was emphasized, which would facilitate access for investors.
- There are many positive examples of investments in BiH, and that is the image that should be shown. Unfortunately, the country's image is often worse than it actually is. Our goal is to affirm good examples that will show other potential investors that they can come to BiH and do good business - said Ambassador Pammer.
Governor Kozarić thanked Austria for its contribution to the economic recovery of BiH, as Austrian investments, primarily in the financial sector, besides the necessary capital and job creation, have also brought new technology and a new business concept. In this way, the overall level of business operations in the banking sector in BiH has been improved.
