(Patria) - The Sarajevo Mountain Rescue Service Station has had another extremely demanding day, which, thanks to their quick and professional response, passed without negative outcomes.
As announced by GSS Sarajevo, after one rescue operation was successfully completed earlier in the day, a new call followed from another location. Several people got lost in the Bjelašnica area and could not find their way back to the starting point.
The duty team was immediately dispatched to the field, where rescuers located the distressed individuals and successfully completed the second intervention of the same day. All found individuals are safe and are moving towards their vehicles in the company of rescuers.
The Sarajevo Mountain Rescue Service Station also issued an appeal to all mountaineers and mountain visitors, urging them to stick exclusively to marked and signposted hiking trails for their own safety.
