Snowplows clear roads to the most remote villages on Bjelašnica

Road maintenance services continue to clear snow towards villages on Mount Bjelašnica, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria (NAP).

Umoljani, Šabići and other mountain villages, although located at the highest altitudes in Bosnia and Herzegovina, currently have a clean and passable road. The only village that cannot be reached by car is Lukomir. In the past few days, snow on Bjelašnica has been around 50 cm, but the roads are passable and safe.

- We are satisfied with how they are clearing the roads. Snowplows work all day and night. Sometimes at three in the morning we hear the machines passing and clearing the road - said one of the residents of Šabići for the Patria agency.

On Bjelašnica and Igman, a large number of tourists are expected over the weekend, writes NAP.
