Fever hits BiH too: Memo Haljevac douses himself with a bucket of water in the middle of Sarač Street

Bosnian painter and television host Sulejman Memo Haljevac joined the "Ice Bucket Challenge" campaign, doused himself with a bucket of cold water and posted the video on his Facebook profile, reports the BiH news agency Patria (NAP).

Interestingly, Haljevac doused himself with cold water in the middle of Sarač Street, one of the busiest streets in Sarajevo on Baščaršija. The painter challenged Ahmed Švrakić, director of Music Production at the Hayat television channel, to do the same.

The "Ice Bucket Challenge" is a campaign to raise awareness of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. In recent days, many people from the world of fashion, sports, and show business have participated in the campaign, and the fever has not bypassed Bosnia and Herzegovina either.

So far, Edin Džeko, Emir Spahić, Dino Merlin, Amra Silajdžić, the new British Ambassador to BiH Edward Ferguson have doused themselves with a bucket of ice water, and among those challenged are Mirza Varešanović, Damir Mršić, the mayor of Visoko Amra Babić, and many other public figures from BiH, writes NAP.
