Thunderstorms, wind, and precipitation continue

(Patria) - The Federal Hydrometeorological Institute has issued a red alert for heavy rainfall, stormy winds, and landslides.

The area for which the warning is issued is Herzegovina, as well as southwestern and central parts of Bosnia; intense rainfall and stormy winds are expected.

"Expected amount of precipitation in Herzegovina, southwestern and central parts of Bosnia from 60 to 100 liters per square meter. Stormy wind from 80 kilometers per hour. The wind will gradually weaken by the end of the day," stated the Federal Hydrometeorological Institute's website.

In Mostar, the expected amount of precipitation is between 40 and 60, locally 80 liters per square meter.

"Be prepared. Take precautions and follow the current weather forecast. Expect disruptions in daily routines and be prepared to suspend outdoor activities and protect yourself and your property. Flooding of property and transport networks is possible. Disruption of electricity, water, and communication supply is possible. Minor evacuation may be necessary. Difficult driving conditions due to reduced visibility and uncontrolled vehicle movement due to water," warns the Federal Hydrometeorological Institute.

Disruptions in outdoor activities are possible.

"Stay up-to-date with the current weather forecast. Expect minor disruptions in outdoor activities. Be aware that thunderstorms may occur. Be especially careful in exposed areas, such as mountains, forests, and open terrain. Disruptions in outdoor activities are possible," states the Federal Hydrometeorological Institute's website.

In Sarajevo, the expected amount of precipitation is between 15 and 30 liters per square meter, while in Banja Luka and Trebinje, 20 to 40 millimeters are expected in 24 hours.

In Foča, 40 to 60 millimeters in 24 hours, while in Trebinje, wind gusts greater than 40 kilometers per hour are expected, and precipitation of 40 to 60 millimeters in 24 hours.
