GRAS on the tragedy: This is a day of sorrow for Sarajevo, a day we will carry with us for a long time

(Patria) - The Public Utility Company (KJKP) City Transport Ltd. Sarajevo (GRAS) issued a statement regarding today's tragic traffic accident in which one person died and four were injured.

GRAS says there is no ordinary day today, only shock, silence, and disbelief.

"The tragedy that occurred has forever marked this day. A young life has been lost. We express our sincere and deep condolences to the child's family.

To the other child, who is fighting the hardest battle of their life, we wish strength and place our hope in the expertise of the doctors.

Our drivers started their work this morning as they do every day, aware of the responsibility they carry. Today they are broken. The entire collective is broken.

People who have been driving in this city for years, who have transported generations of Sarajevans, are going home tonight with a burden that is difficult to describe in words.

GRAS has been a part of Sarajevo for over a century. We have gone through wars, power outages, floods, shortages with this city. Today we are going through pain felt by both our employees and our fellow citizens. This is a wound for the entire city.

We are fully available and cooperating with the competent authorities and families. Every fact must be established, and every fact will be made available to the public.

This is a day of sorrow for Sarajevo. And a day we will carry with us for a long time," GRAS stated.
