
(Patria) - The Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina lacks 761 police officers, 11 civil servants and 10 employees.
This BiH police agency announced today that, as of January 31, they have 1,864 employees, or 70.4 percent of the systematized positions.
Of that number, 1,665 are police officers, with 761 missing, or 31.4 percent, 46 civil servants - of which 11 are missing, or 19.3 percent, and 153 employees, with 10 missing.
The Border Police of BiH states that they continuously conduct competitions for the admission of new cadets, regularly promote police officers to vacant positions, and hire civil servants and employees.
In the last two years, with the aim of overcoming this problem, a total of 23 internal and public competitions have been announced, 69 police officers have been promoted to a higher rank, and five civil servants and 27 employees have been employed.
Officers of the Border Police of BiH are continuously educated to improve personnel capacities in order to respond in the best possible way to modern trends and methods of human resource management.
