Border Police arrest UIO BiH official at the Donji Svilaj border crossing

(Patria) - Based on an order from the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, members of the Central Investigation Bureau of the Border Police of BiH today at the Donji Svilaj border crossing, due to the criminal offense of "Accepting gifts and other forms of benefit" under Article 217, paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code of BiH, conducted a search of the person and deprived of liberty an official of the Indirect Taxation Authority (UIO) of BiH.

The person was taken to the official premises of the Border Police of BiH where they will be questioned as a suspect.

After that, within the legally prescribed period, they will be handed over to the acting prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, the Border Police of BiH announced tonight.
